What Is Emphysema More Condition_symptoms Which Is More Serious: Emphysema Or Pneumonia?

Which is more serious: Emphysema or pneumonia? - what is emphysema more condition_symptoms

My father was diagnosed yesterday with pneumonia in both lungs after a chest X-ray and CT. He was then transferred to a hospital by making better use of beds is not the first hospital. So, now that the hospital is much better, they say that no pulmonary inflammation, has emphysema. No doubt, in the confidence that the hospital, but I'm curious to see how to diagnose the pneumonia is confused. The 2 similar conditions appear to have X-ray or CT? I really appreciate any feedback.

Pneumonia can be cured, can not answer emphysema what is worse. However, X-rays, etc. is not the right way to accurately diagnose pneumonia. He needed blood tests and preferably a sputum culture. X-ray was a very definitive emphysema appear larger and the corners are slightly flattened. In pneumonia thats affected area would be a consolidation of a white appearance. The 2 are very different films in my opinion. Perhaps there are two? A sputum culture is the best way to know whether their insurance pneumonia. .

Pneumonia is an infection of the lungs, emphysema is an irreversible damage to the lungs, usually caused by smoking. It may well be both, but probably for other tests to measure the extent of the damage.
